Zella Cranfill, age 67 of Dayton Mountain, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 25, 1947 on Dayton Mountain to the late Robert E. and Ila (Benson) Cranfill. She was also preceded in death by a sister Barbara Nell Sinclair and brothers James David Cranfill, Robert G. Cranfill and Walter Cranfill.
A lifelong resident of Dayton Mountain, Zella was a 1966 graduate of Rhea Central High School and had worked for Oster Manufacturing, Dura Manufacturing and Goodman Manufacturing. She was a member of Ogden Road Baptist Church all of her life.
She is survived by her brother Leroy (Helen) Cranfill, three sisters, Annie Case, Betty Stroub all of Dayton Mountain and Kathy (Michael) Aslinger of Soddy Daisy and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Zella will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 a m at the Ogden Road Baptist Church with Rev. Shane Johnston and Rev. Jimmy Jewell officiating. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest in the Ogden Cemetery followed by a white dove release.
