Winona Mae (Nichols) Stinnett age 74 of Dayton died Monday July 2, 2007 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. She was born on January 31, 1933 in Rhea County the daughter of the late John Nichols and Winnie (Marler) Williams She was also preceded in death by her husband Johnie Stinnett, her step-father, Jack Williams, brother, Donald Joe Nichols and sister, Lillian June.
Winona lived in Dayton all her life where she worked for Robinson Manufacturing for many years as a seamstress. She was a life long active member of Garrison Baptist Church and she enjoyed working with her mission groups in her church. Winona loved spending time with her grandchildren and family and she enjoyed taking care of her cats and plants.
She is survived by her two daughters, Janet (Jim) Mullins of Dayton and Vanessa (Donald) Henderson of Dayton Mountain, her sister, Patsy (Walter) Coulter of Graysville, grandchildren, Jonathan and Nicholas Mullins, Christy Henderson and Donnie (Stephanie) Henderson and one great-grandson, Levi Henderson all of Rhea County.
Funeral services for Winona will be held Friday at 11am in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Von Dunn and Rev. Mike Breeden officiating. Burial will be in Rhea Memory Gardens followed by a white dove release.
The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Thursday 5-8pm.
