Wilma Magdalene Walker, age 85 of Dayton died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at a hospital in Chattanooga. Wilma was born in Graysville on March 8, 1925 the daughter of the late Elige and Dora (Goins) Goins. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Thomas E. Walker.
Wilma lived all of her life in Dayton where she was employed at Kayser Roth for 33 years and then retired from La-Z-Boy after 15 years. She was a member of the South Dayton Church of God.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Ray (Jeri) Walker and her daughter Marlene (Kenneth) Sneed both of Dayton, three grandchildren, Stacey (Kristi) Walker of Naples, FL, Lisa (Greg) Rose of Virginia Beach, VA, and Charlene (Will) Cayton of Louisville, KY, nine great-grandchildren, Ben, McKenna, Joe, Andrew and Matthew Walker and Madison, Jillian, Caroline and Allison Rose.
Funeral services for Wilma will be held Friday morning at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bobby Scott, Rev. Jewell Travis and Rev. Mike Justice officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Rhea Memory Gardens followed by a white dove release.
