Wilma Elizabeth Manning, age 90, of Dayton passed away Friday morning, May 26, 2017, at her home. She was born in Hamilton County on May 31, 1926 to the late Marvin and Eva (Millsap) Johnson.
Wilma was a homemaker and resident of Dayton since 1956. She was of the Church of God faith.
Wilma is survived by her son, Teddy Paul (Dale) Manning of Dayton, her two daughters, Paulette (Meb) Webster of Hixson, Irene (Terry) Wilkey of Dayton, her brothers, Norris (Mary Ruth) Johnson of Soddy, Jimmy (Audra) Johnson of Sale Creek, her sisters Bobby McFarland of Hamilton County, Pauline (Marshall) Dooley of Hixson, Charlotte (Larry) Wilson of Hixson, and Roxie (Buddy) Cummings of Hamilton County. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husband, Paul “Pud” Manning, daughter, Patricia Euverard, her brothers Lloyd Johnson and Mart Johnson and her sister Mary Ruth Smith.
Funeral services for Wilma will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Vanderwall Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Levengood officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Rhea Memory Gardens.
