William Jesse James “Jess” Creesman age 80 of Dayton died Sunday April 2, 2006 in Erlanger Hospital. He was born in Rhea County May 1, 1925 the son of the late William and Mary (Bedwell) Creesman and was also preceded in death by his sons, Doyle William Creesman and Clifford Leon Creesman.
William served his country with the US Army during WWII in the European Theatre. He lived in Dayton most of his life.
He is survived by his daughters, Mary Frances Creesman, Teresa Harmon, sons, Jimmy Creesman, Thomas Creesman and Carl Creesman all of Dayton, his sisters, Cora Lee Henderson of Dayton and Dorothy Yearwood of Graysville, brothers, Floyd Creesman of Dayton and Billy Creesman of Pikeville, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for William will be held Tuesday at 11am in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in Rhea Memory Gardens with full military honors.
The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Monday 5-8pm.
