William David Brown, age 59 of Spring City, passed away at his daughter’s home early on Saturday, March 28, 2026. He was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on April 17, 1966, the son of the late Stanley J. Brown and Joan (Palmer) Brown.
Before making Spring City his home in 2016, William spent his years in Louisiana, where he captained push boats along the Mississippi River out of Marrero. A man of adventure and mechanical passion, he loved tearing through trails on dirt bikes and four wheelers and took great pride in breathing new life into old cars. He attended Frostbite Church in Luminary.
William is survived by his wife of 34 years, Tessie Brown of Spring City; his son, Tony Peak of Louisiana; his daughters, Evelyn Peak of Dallas, Texas, Heidi Peak of Georgia, Jamie Peak of Marrero, Louisiana, and Regina (Tom) Bacon of Luminary; and his many grandchildren.
A family graveside funeral will be at Buttram Cemetery on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 12:00 noon with Rev. John Fields officiating.
Please share your memories and photos of William on his online guest register at www.vanderwallfh.com.
The family is being cared for by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, Tennessee.
