Virginia Nell Oliver, age 84, of Dayton Mountain died Wednesday morning, August 8, 2018 at her home in Dayton. She was born March 12, 1934 in Fayette County to the late Albert Lee Crafton and Gracie May (Schrimpsher) Crafton. She was also preceded in death by her husband Thomas Lowell Oliver.
Virginia lived in Bethel Springs until moving to Sale Creek in 2001. In 2009 she moved to Dayton. She was a homemaker and of Christian faith.
She is survived by four sons: Thomas Oliver of Bethel Springs, Johnny Oliver of Dayton, Mark (Ted Vorwerk) Oliver of Selmer and Paul (Jennifer) Oliver of Sale Creek Mountain; daughter Lili (Greg) Mardis of Dayton; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and her special friend Tommy Hicks of Spring City.
Funeral services for Virginia will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Standifer Community Cemetery in Sale Creek.
