Virginia Edwards

Virginia Edwards, age 81, of Hixson, died Friday, February 3, 2012. She was born March 12, 1930 in Hamilton County to the late John and Lenora (McNabb) Thacker. She was also preceded in death by her husband John E. Edwards, brother Howard Thacker and sister Louise Henry.
She was a resident of Rhea County before moving to Hixson in 1940. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Gail Underwood, grandson Max Underwood, both of Hixson, and sister Margie Bradley of Chattanooga.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gandhi for his caring concern. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 200 Central Ave., Chattanooga, TN, 37403.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 11:00 am at the Hamilton Memorial Park, 8900 Dallas Hollow Rd., Soddy Daisy, TN 37379, with Pastor Clift Roth officiating.
