Virginia Lee Chatman, age 73 of Dayton, went to be with her Lord Wednesday February 19, 2014 in Chattanooga. She was born December 13, 1940 in Miami, FL to the late Edmund James and Sara (Howard) Chatman and was also preceded in death by her sister Vivian Chatman.
A resident of Dayton since 1971, she was a graduate of Miami Bible College and Bryan College. She was a teacher at many Rhea County Schools and most recently at Rhea Central, where she retired after 33 years. After her retirement, she actively continued in designing and making educational learning centers and power point presentations. She never stopped being a teacher.
She was a nanny to Rev. Andy Stanley and Becky (Stanley) Brodersen of Atlanta.
Virginia is survived by her niece Jeannie.
A celebration of life service and committal will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Andy Stanley officiating. She will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.
