Virginia Campbell

Virginia Louise Campbell, age 67 of Dayton died September 3, 2008 at her home. She was born March 22, 1941 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Everett Swafford and Callie Ruth (Felts) Jordan. She was also preceded in death by her brother Charles Swafford and sisters Bonnie Adams and Lois Kiest.

Virginia was a homemaker, much beloved by her family. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church on Dayton Mountain. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Robert Mac Campbell, sons Robert Dean (Crissy) Campbell of Graysville, and Robby Campbell of Evensville, daughter Shannon Campbell of Birchwood, sisters Joyce Day of Spring City, and Helen Fry of Hixson, as well as five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Virginia will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Vaughn Dunn and Rev. Carroll Henderson officiating. Burial will be in the Summer City Cemetery followed by a white dove release.
