Thomas Joseph Timmons

Thomas Joseph Timmons, age 71 of Dayton, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. He was born in Lafayette, Indiana, on November 7, 1952, the son of the late Joe and Dorothy (Mohleman) Timmons.

Thomas attended the University of Illinois before he joined the Illinois National Guard. He was the district manager for a propane company for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, working in his workshop, and teasing his granddaughters.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 50 years, Debra “Debbie” Jean (DeMoss) Timmons; his son, Joe (Rachel) Timmons; his daughter, Dawn White (David) Manser; his grandchildren, Scarlett Timmons, Gertrude White, and Zimmer White, all of Dayton. He is also survived by his two sisters, Pat (Dan) Puetz and Linda Mansfield, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

A memorial service for Thomas will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Dayton with Rev. Bob Schafer officiating.
