Thomas Jefferson Kimsey, II age 52 of Dayton passed away at his home Saturday, November 14, 2020. He was born in Dayton on December 7, 1967. He lived in Dayton all of his life and was a graduate of Rhea County High School and Chattanooga State. TJ was a member of the Old Washington Baptist Church and loved race cars, NASCAR, fishing, hot wheels, the outdoors and wildlife. During fireworks season, TJ loved working at Hot Wheels Fire Works.
He is survived by his mother, Doris (Higgins) Kimsey of Dayton, two sisters, Sue (Rusty) Owens of Tracy City and Jennifer Garrison of Cleveland. Also surviving are his nephews and nieces, Matthew and Angie Revis of Dayton, Ben and Amy Revis of Dayton, Brett and Megan Garrison of Cookeville, Lance Garrison of Nashville, Clint and Cayci Garrison of Calhoun, Rachelle and Chris Adams of Columbia, SC and Larissa Roberts of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Jefferson Kimsey and his sister, Debra Kimsey.
A family graveside service will be held Monday afternoon, November 16th at two o’clock at the Shaver Cemetery in Dayton. He will be laid to rest next to his dad.
