Thomas Henry Hannah, Jr., age 84 of Dayton, passed away at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. He was born in Mississippi on June 7, 1941, the son of the late Thomas Henry Hannah, Sr., and Lula (Hutchinson) Brown. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Eugene Brown, and his sons, Shawn Hannah and Juan Hannah.
Thomas was a professional boxer and later became a vacuum cleaner salesman. He enjoyed golfing and was a born-again Christian.
Thomas is survived by his first wife, Jacqueline Brannon of Las Vegas, Nevada, and their son, Todd (Mia) Hannah of Ocean City, California; his second wife, Etta Hannah of Maryland; his step-children, Ed (Lisa) Newbon of Maryland and Angela Newbon of Illinois; his grandchildren; his sisters, Stella Pryor of Union, New Jersey, Angela (Russell) Grice of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Diane Brown of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Desiree Thomas of Austin, Texas; his brothers, Eugene (Cheryln) Brown and Carlton (Regina) Brown, both of San Diego, California; his maternal aunts, Clara Wilson and Desiree (Bobby) Wheeler, both of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and many other family members who loved him.
There will be no services for Thomas at this time. He will be laid to rest in Laurelbrook Cemetery, and a Celebration of Life Service at Laurelbrook will be announced later.
