Thomas Lyle Ainge, age 93, of Dayton, died Monday evening, December 10, 2018 at his home. He was born on February 24, 1925 in Miami, FL to the late William and Alice (Hennessey) Ainge. He was also preceded in death by his wife Donnah (Hawkins) Ainge.
He lived in Pontiac, MI for most of his life before moving to Dayton in 2013. He was a graduate of the Detroit Bible College and served his country with the US Coast Guard. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pontiac, MI for many years and currently a member of the First Baptist Church in Dayton.
He is survived by his son, Thomas William (Becky) Ainge of Douglasville, GA; two daughters, Kathy (Tim) Campbell of Metamora, MI and Karen (Roger) Simmons of Dayton; five grandchildren, Kristi (Mason) Hudlow of Sugar Hill, GA, Karla (JC) Webb of Montgomery, AL, Ryan (Helen) Simmons of Rome, GA, Karissa (Matt) Thompson of Colorado Springs, CO, Joe Ainge of Douglasville, GA and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services with military honors for Mr. Ainge will be held Wednesday at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Milton Knox officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, MI on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m.
