Thelma Sneed

Thelma Vermae Sneed age 72 of Peachtree City, GA. died Tuesday February 7, 2006 in
Piedmont Hospital, Atlanta, GA. She was born December 31, 1933 in Evensville, TN. the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (McBroom) Swafford.

Thelma lived in Evensville, TN for many years and was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. She lived in Hixson from 1989-96 where she was a member of Middle Cross Baptist Church. She then moved to Peachtree City, Ga. in 1996 where she has been a member of Line Creek Baptist Church. Thelma was a homemaker, school bus monitor and she enjoyed cooking and baking.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years Eunice Sneed, her son, Richard (Melinda) Sneed of Peachtree City, GA., granddaughter, Bethany Sneed of Dayton, TN., sisters, Mayme Swafford Sims of Soddy Daisy, TN, Helen Ruth Swafford Munn of Easley, S.C. and one brother, Robert Swafford of Chattanooga, TN.

Funeral services for Thelma will be held Saturday at 2pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wayne Mullins and Rev. Bobby Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery in Evensville, TN. followed by a white dove release.

The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Friday 5-9pm.
