Teresa Ann Robinson, age 59 of Decatur died early Sunday morning, June 14, 2020 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. Teresa was born in Sylacauga, AL on February 17, 1961, the daughter of the late Johnny Lester Corbitt and Mary Ann (Beardon) Corbitt.
Teresa was a graduate of Bibb-Graves High School, class of 1979 and earned her associate degree in business management at Central Alabama Community College. She was raised in Alabama and had been a resident of Decatur, TN since 1996. She was the former manager of Hidden Valley Apartments in Dayton where she received the USDA Rural Tennessee Manager of the Year twice and also received the USDA Rural National Manager of the Year. Teresa enjoyed fishing, visiting Tellico and being with her family. She was well known for her delicious biscuits.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Alvin “Dale” Robinson of Decatur, her son, J.R. (Keesha) Robinson of Decatur, her daughter, Renee (Shaun) Suttles of Dayton, grandson Jace Robinson, granddaughter Skylar Suttles, three brothers, John Lester Corbitt of Montgomery, AL, James Richard (Gwen) Corbitt of Stewartville, AL, Benjamin Jody (Heather) Corbitt of Chelsea, AL and two sisters, Dorothy Jeanette Corbitt of Sylacauga, AL and Thada Joyce (Gene) Sims of Fayetteville, AL. Teresa is also survived by her step-mother Stella Mae Corbitt of Spring City of whom she was very close.
A gathering Time with family and friends will be held Tuesday afternoon, June 16, 2020 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm in the funeral home parlor.
