Ted Ronald Wilkerson

January 27, 1950 — April 4, 2007

Ted “Ronnie” Ronald Wilkerson, age 57 passed Wednesday, April 04, 2007 in Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. Ted was born in Pikeville on January 27, 1950 and graduated from Bledsoe County High School. He then received his associate degree in science at Chattanooga State. Ted was a electrical technician with TVA. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and reading. He was a member of the Dayton Church of God where he taught Sunday school.

Ted is survived by his wife of 37 years, the former Caroline (Rudolph) Wilkerson of Dayton, his mother, Katherine Wilkerson of Dayton, two sons, Thad Wilkerson of Chattanooga and Joey England of Dayton, daughter, Prunella England of Chattanooga, four grandchildren, Alisha England, Anthony England, London England and Bradsha Forester. Ted is also survived by his two brothers, Stephen (Shirley) Wilkerson of Murfreesboro, Vann Wilkerson of Dayton, four sisters, Melody (Frankie) Mays of Dayton, Sandra (Mickie) Wallace of Ohio, Janet (David) Black of Kingsport, Dee (Freddie) Swader of Murfreesboro and a host of nieces and nephews. Ted was preceded in death by his father, Harold Wilkerson and his brother, Gary Wilkerson.

Funeral services for Ted will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Justice, Jimbo Adams and Sister Leola McClain officiating. Burial will be in Rhea Memory Gardens followed by a white dove release.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Friday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
