Murray Stephen “Steve” Minter, age 61, passed Friday, February 3, 2012, at his home. He was born January 22, 1951 in Washington, D.C. to the late M.S. Minter and Ada (Hughes) Minter.
A resident of Spring City since 2007, he was conference director of Cedine Ministries. He attended Howard University and Washington Bible College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in Viet Nam. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Spring City.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Linda (Aycox) Minter, his mother in Washington, D.C., sons, Jonathan Minter of Orlando, FL, Murray Minter, III of Rockville, MD, Daniel Minter of Pensacola, FL, Elijah Minter of Greenville, TN, Moses Minter, Isaiah Minter, Joshua Minter all at home, daughters Christian Minter and Alyse Minter, both of Forestville, MD, Shalam Minter of Johnson City, Genesis Minter of Knoxville and Chaniel Minter at home., brother Pastor Anthony L. (Wanda) Minter of Fort Washington, MD, sisters Stephanie (Jackie) Roberts of Waldorf, MD, Penelope Minter and Janis (Clyde) Carrington, both of Washington, D.C.
His funeral service will be held Monday at 6:00 pm in the Jubilee Center at Cedine Bible Camp in Spring City. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. He will then be taken to Washington, D.C. for burial at Quantico.
