Dr. Sithipol Lee Tantihachai age 76 of Dayton went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday morning, August 13, 2020 at Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna, TN. Dr. Sid was born in Satun, Thailand on May 24, 1944 the son of the late Song Tantihachai and Hong Phew Leuang.
Dr. Sid was a graduate of Taipei Medical University and recently a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary. Dr. Sid was a physician and surgeon in Dayton since 1981. He was a Bible teacher to many around the world. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Dayton where he taught Sunday School.
Dr. Sid served his country with the United States Air Force as a surgeon at the rank of Major. He was a member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Medical Association. He served his residency under Dr. Henry Heimlich.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sandra (Aiken) Tantihachai of Dayton, his two sons, Alex Tantihachai and Allan Tantihachai both of Chattanooga. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Christopher Ryley Tantihachai, Madalyn Belle Tantihachai and Kahlen Hope Sexton.
Funeral Services for Dr. Sid will be held Tuesday evening, August 18, 2020 at 7:00pm at Grace Bible Church with his pastor, Rev. Milton Knox officiating. The service will be with limited seating, social distancing and MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED. His funeral may be viewed after live streamed at

A public graveside for Dr. Sid will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00am at Rhea Memory Gardens in Dayton where he will be laid to rest with the USAF providing military honors.
