Gerstle Shelby Tinch, age 73 of Bakewell died Saturday morning, December 27, 2008 in his home. He was born on August 9, 1935 the son of the late Dallas and Ruby (Sisco) Tinch and was also preceded in death by his brother, James Tinch.
Shelby had lived in Bakewell for the past 41 years and attended the Unity Gospel Tabernacle.
He is survived by his sister, Anna Roysdon of Bakewell and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:00pm in Rhea Memory Gardens in Dayton with Rev. Mike Hedrick officiating.
The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Sunday after 12 o’clock noon.
