Sara Ann Thurman Green

Sara Ann Green, age 57 of Dayton died at her home Tuesday afternoon, February 10, 2009. Sara was born in Bledsoe County on January 31, 1952 the daughter of the late Venous and Lillie (Gossett) Thurman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Green, her sister, Brenda Hutsell and two brothers, Billy Ray Thurman and David Thurman.

Sara lived most of her life in Dayton, was of the Baptist faith and had been employed at Robinsons Manufacturing in the sewing department.

She is survived by her children, Jackie (Tammy) Green of Evensville, Barbara (Jeff) Clark of Dayton, Bobby Trusley of Evensville, Eddie Green of IN, Paula Webb of Dayton Mountain, Cheryl Green of IN, Harold Green of IN, brother, Jerry Thurman of Dayton, sisters, Lois Newby of Cleveland, Bonnie Clark of Dayton and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Sara will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tom Herrell officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her sister in the Trusley Family Cemetery on Dayton Mountain.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
