Salvatore R. LaRosa, age 89 of Dayton, died Saturday February 12, 2011 at Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga. He was born June 6, 1921 in Little Ferry, NJ to the late Sebastian and Angelina Governalli LaRosa.
He had a Masters degree in Divinity and was a Pastor with the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was a member of the Brayton Seventh Day Adventist Church. He served his country with the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Laura Meliti LaRosa of Dayton, son Julius D. LaRosa of Camp Hill, PA, daughters Carol Anne Buhler of Harpster, OH and Susan L. Maehre of Calhoun, GA, sister Bessie Lapinskey of Goshen, NY, five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Burial for Mr. LaRosa will be Tuesday at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family plans a memorial service at a later date.
