Jenny Ruth Crowe age 91 of Dayton died Monday February 20, 2006 in Rhea County Nursing Home. She was born in Rhea County February 24, 1914 the daughter of the late Bob and Adabelle (Jordan) Richey. She was also preceded in death by her husband Sherman Crowe, her daughter, Hazel Pauline Crowe and two sons, David Crowe and James Jr Jody Crowe.

Ruth lived in Rhea County all her life where she was a homemaker and was of the Church of God faith.

She is survived by her four daughters, Betty (Red) Corder of Pikeville, Patsy Ruth (Ed) Davis of AL., Jo Ann (Denny) Miles and Reba (David) Bean both of Graysville, three sons, Bobby Ray (Ova) Crowe, Charles E. (Sandra) Crowe both of Sale Creek and Donnie Lee (Marcia) Crowe of Dayton, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, two sisters, Leona (Marvin) Genoe of Dayton and Pat (Mike) Johslyn of MI.

Funeral services for Ruth will be held Wednesday at 2pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. O. L. Hart and Rev. Jimmy Talley officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery.

The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Tuesday 4-8pm.
