Ruby Belle Harwood, age 102 of Graysville died Monday afternoon, January 25, 2010 at the Life Care Center of Rhea County. Ruby was born in Dunlap on August 15, 1907, the daughter of the late Rufus and Dessie (Johnson) Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bradford Harwood, her daughter, Frankie Harwood, two brothers and three sisters.
Ruby had lived in Graysville since age 14 where she was a homemaker and a member of the Graysville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her two sons, Johnny Harwood of Graysville and Mickey (Maxine) Harwood of Pikeville; two daughters, Priscilla (Charley) Corvin and Carolyn (Tom) Kelley both of Dayton. She is also survived by her sister, Velma Newberry of Graysville, 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Ruby will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Hillian officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Pleasantview Cemetery in Graysville.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Tuesday and Wednesday evenings after 6:00pm.
