Roy Eugene Kelley, age 77, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019 at his home. He was born on December 9, 1941 in Dayton, the son of the late Burnice and Anna Mae (Bishop) Kelley. Roy was also preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Wanda Sue (Grant) Kelley, his infant son, Gregory Kelley and his sister, Reita Kelley.
Roy lived in Dayton all of his life. He was a Rhea Central High School graduate, employed at Suburban Manufacturing in Dayton and was a member of the Delashmitt Road Baptist Church in Hixson.
He is survived by his three daughters, Kim (Charles) Benton of Spring City, Stefanie (Robby) Parks of Dayton and Tanya (Ulysses) Edwards of Evensville; his grandchildren, Ashton Ovitt of Grandview, Aaron (Mandy) Edwards of Dayton, Dylan Watson of Dayton, Kaylin Laymon of Dayton, Chase Edwards of Evensville and Jayden Benton of Spring City; his great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Ovitt, Skylan Ovitt, Brylee Dannel, Maverick Edwards and Griffin Edwards; his sisters, Anita Kelley of Dayton, Leta Fine of Cleveland, Brenda (Jack) Abel of Dayton, Sandi (Gene) Levengood, Vergie Morgan and Sha Kelley all of Cleveland.
Funeral services for Roy will be held Wednesday at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Aaron Revis, Brother Ronnie Smith and Brother Byrd Arnold officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife Wanda in Spence Cemetery followed by a white dove release.
