Rosie May Pritchett

Rosie May Pritchett, age 77 of Spring City, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Rhea Medical Center. She was born October 15, 1933 in Rhea County to the late James “Jim” McDonald and Laura (Beavers) McDonald. She was also preceded in death by her husband Roy Malcolm Pritchett, sisters Carrie Couch and Mary McDonald and brother J.T. McDonald.
A lifelong resident of Rhea County, Rosie was a homemaker and was a member of the Pleasantdale Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters Bernice Housley of Dayton, Rosemary Sneed, Henrietta Reed and Crystal Rigsby, all of Evensville, Shelia Pritchett of Spring City and Sharon Burham of Oak Ridge, sons Ray Pritchett of Cleveland, OH and Malcolm Pritchett of Evensville, brother Kelso McDonald of Evensville, thirteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and special friend Edna Berry.
Funeral services for Rosie will be held Saturday at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rick Mooneyham and Rev.Carroll Henderson officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Pritchett Cemetery in Spring City.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Friday from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm.
