Ronald Dale “Slick” Love, Jr., age 51 of Sale Creek, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Soddy-Daisy ER Parkridge. He was born on April 18, 1975, in Orlando, Florida, the son of the late Ronald and Vicki (Mauck) Love, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Margaret Mauck.

Slick made his home in Sale Creek for the past 17 years, having previously lived in Winter Garden, Florida. He spent his working life in lawn maintenance. He loved the beach, saltwater fishing, and mowing the lawn, and he was a devoted Florida Gators fan, but more than anything, he cherished the time spent with his grandbabies.

He is survived by wife of 17 years, Christie (Hoodenpyle) Love of Sale Creek; his two daughters, Brittnie (Coty) Swanner-Wright of Dayton, and Bethanie Swanner of Sale Creek; his six grandchildren, Zander Leffew, Coty Wright, Brentlee Wright, Lola Nelson, Lyric Nelson, and Cash Lee Swanner; his four siblings, Chris Griffin, Carl Griffin, Kim Love, all of Florida, and Jamie (Ashley) McPherson of Dayton; His 11 nieces and nephews in Florida and Dayton, and especially Dylan (Shelby) McPherson of Graysville; his two great-nephews, Aiden McPherson and Carson McPherson; and his Aunt B. in Florida.
