With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Eric Trowell, 65, of Dayton, Tennessee. Eric passed peacefully on July 31st surrounded by his loving wife, sons and friends. In life, Eric was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. Eric lived a life of strength and a deep devotion to his family and friends.

Eric was born on December 12, 1960, in Hialeah, Florida to Roger C. & Barbara Trowell. The family moved to Dayton, TN in 1976.

In addition to his parents, Eric was preceded in death by his, brother Robert Trowell.

Eric and his wife, Beth, owned and operated Dayton Paint and Glass, proudly serving the Dayton community for 23 years, now retired. Eric will be remembered as a man who loved his wife beyond words. He spent his days hanging out with his best friend and wife — watching bad movies and rooting for the Miami Dolphins and Florida Gators. After retirement, the two of them traveled, exploring new places and visiting old friends in the RV. He was every bit as devoted to his two sons, Alexander and Andrew, teaching them above all how to be good fathers themselves, as well as the trade of the glass shop, he loved. He enjoyed reading books, camping, sitting around the firepit rehashing old jokes and cookouts with family and friends. He was the king of the pool and the life of the party.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Beth) Trowell, of Dayton, TN; his sons, Alexander Trowell 37 of Dayton, TN and Andrew Trowell 32 (Sunny) of Hixson, TN, brother Randall N Trowell (Karen) of Tennessee, sister Sherlen Bingham (Brock) of Indiana, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Grandchildren Mia Trowell 13 (Alexander), Lydia Trowell 5 (Andrew) and Penelope Clarke 6 (Ashleigh). Along their way of life, Eric and Beth, "adopted" many other children - Luke Edwards, Albert Burge, Kellie Anderson, Ashleigh Clarke, Cori Arena, Matt Wilkey, Nate Pippen and many more that came and went in their loving home.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 9th from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at Vanderwall Funeral Home, Dayton, TN. The funeral service will immediately follow from 1:30-2:45 p.m. at Vanderwall Funeral Home. A friends and family get-together will be held at Eric and Beth's home, please come, enjoy and celebrate Eric with us.
