Robert “Bob” Leon Lacy, age 87 of Dayton Mountain, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 3, 2025. He was born on December 30, 1937, the son of the late Clarence Olan Lacy and Jesse (Cauthran) Lacy.
Bob was a high school graduate, earned a college bachelor’s degree, and was employed by the State of Texas as a parole officer. He lived on Dayton Mountain for the last 37 years. He enjoyed building things, working with mechanical things, and built the house that he and his wife lived in. He attended Dayton 1st Baptist Church.
Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley (Raper) Lacy of Dayton Mountain; his daughter, Sarah (Brandon) Bruun of Cleveland; his grandchildren, Ingrid Bruun and Jesse Bruun; and his brother, Lloyd (Wanda) Lacy of Signal Mountain.
Funeral services for Bob will be in the funeral home chapel on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Carter Johnson officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his parents in Buttram Cemetery after the service.
