Robbie Jean Wilkerson

Robbie Jean Wilkerson, age 71, passed Monday, March 28, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. A lifelong resident of Dayton, she was born September 6, 1939 to the late Robert Howerton and Louella (West) Howerton. She was also preceded in death by her husband Yvonne Luther Wilkerson.
Robbie Jean was a homemaker and was a member of the former Holy Tabernacle in Chattanooga and currently attended Soloman’s Porch in Dayton.
Robbie leaves to cherish her memories six children, Sandra Douglas, Deborah Gillespie and Ronald “Jughead”(Amanda) Wilkerson all of Dayton, Belinda (Charles) Rogers and Dion (Katrina) Wilkerson of Cleveland and LaFaye (Jonathan) Goddard of Chattanooga, sister Katherine Banks Logan of Dayton, sister-in-laws, Lucille (Vincent) Lopez, Dallas, TX, Francis (Curtis) Gillespie, Dallas, TX, Catherine Wilkerson, OH, 21 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a host of very special nieces and nephews. She was the adopted mother of Brian (Tracy) Pankey, Dayton, TN and Karim (Danielle) Pankey of Cincinnati, OH.
Funeral services for Robbie will be Thursday afternoon at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Naomi Witherow and Pastor Mack Louallen officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Dayton City Cemetery.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Thursday from 12 noon until 2:00 pm.
