Robbie Dean Dorn age 79 of Sale Creek died Tuesday morning August 14, 2007 in Rhea Medical Center in Dayton. Robbie Dean was born in Sale Creek on December 1, 1927 the daughter of the late Earl and Pearl (Atchley) Aslinger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cyrus F. Dorn, Jr and her daughter, Rebecca Clemons.
Robbie Dean was a long time resident of Sale Creek and for the last several years made her home with her daughter in Dayton. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and a faithful member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Sale Creek.
She is survived by her daughter, Ginger (Allen) Sedman of Dayton, sons, Harold Dorn and Dennis (Dottie) Dorn both of Sale Creek, sisters, Mary Ruth Aslinger, Patsy Aslinger, Shirley (John) Denton all of Sale Creek, Dortha (Larry) Hodge of Hixson, Linda Faye (David) Parson of Midlothian, VA, brothers, Billy (Anna) Aslinger of Coulterville, Gary (Ann) Aslinger of Hixson, grandchildren, Chris Miller, Tim Sedman, Susan Valdez, Edward Dorn, Amanda Boles, Erica Dorn, Rebecca Smith and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Robbie Dean will be held Wednesday evening at 8:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Emory Layne and Rev. David Cunningham officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00am in Rhea Memory Gardens.
The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Wednesday after 4:00pm.
