Rita Harlene Sparks, age 60 of Dayton, died Sunday October 25, 2014 in Chattanooga. She was born July 7, 1954 in Dalton, GA to the late Wallace Harley Sloan and Linna (Neal) Sloan.
A resident of Rhea County for the past 8 years, she previously lived in Chattanooga. She was a loving wife, caring grandmother and a homemaker. She enjoyed crafting and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Dayton Worship Center.
Rita is survived by her husband of 33 years, Clarence Sparks of Dayton, two sons Steve Johnson and Chris Johnson both of Dayton, two daughters Amy (Eddie) Cooke of Savannah, GA, Rebecca Sparks of Chattanooga and eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 pm at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor Bob Carroll officiating.
