Richard Skiles

Richard Skiles, age 61, of Sale Creek, died January 2, 2014 in Chattanooga. He was born May 26, 1952 in Hendon, TN to the late Leonard and Robbidean (Skiles) Skiles. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Rickey Skiles.
Richard was a graduate of Nashville School for the Blind and lived in Columbia, TN where he was employed in shipping and receiving at Columbia Mill & Elevator and later at Kasbar National Industries. He moved back to Bakewell in 2007 due to illness.
Richard is survived by his two sisters, Leona Cranmore of Sale Creek and Marvie Skiles of Dayton Mountain; his two half-sisters, Olisa Sims of Hendon and Loretta Kay Barelow of Vermont and one nephew, Dustin B. Cranmore of Bakewell.
Funeral services for Richard will be held Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tommy Levi officiating. He will be laid to rest in Hendon Cemetery.
