Richard Morgan

David “Richard” Morgan, age 77, died Thursday March 13, 2014 at his home in Athens. He was born April 31, 1936 in Dayton to the late Robert and Bessie Mae (Oldham) Morgan. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers Mitchell Morgan and Lewis Morgan and two sisters Betty Stinnett and Pauline Horvorka.
Previously from Dayton, Richard was a resident of Athens since 1986. He enjoyed working on cars and painting cars. He was a member of the Victory Pentecostal Church in Lenoir City.
Richard is survived by his three daughters Cynthia (Rev. William “Tim”) Smith, Kimberly (Stacy) McKenzie and Renea (Jeff) Burnette all of Dayton, five sisters Margaret Rigsby, Jane (Junior) Miller, Carolyn Sue Rohland, and Rebecca Thorsky, all of Dayton and Diane (Donnie) Keltch of Cleveland, and three grandchildren Craig Bowers, Kendra Massey and Kayla Massey all of Dayton.
Funeral services for Richard will be held Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bill Smith officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Cove Cemetery.
