Reba Phillips age 84 of Dayton died July 11, 2006 in her daughter’s home.
She was born October 3, 1921 in Dayton the daughter of the late Floyd and Martha (Walker) Burwick. She was also preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Carl Phillips Sr., her daughter, Sharon Phillips, sister, Thelma Anspach, brother, Sam Burwick, her granddaughters, Rebecca and Tabitha Goins and her grandson, Matthew David Goins.
Reba lived in Dayton all her life. She was a graduate of Harlan High School, Harlan,KY. and retired from Rural Transportation. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her six daughters, Wilma Isles of Sale Creek, Carol Hughes, Linda Goins, Phyllis Trantham, Sheila Ripper and Diana Hughes, one son, Lawrence Phillips Jr. all of Dayton, fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two sisters, Doris Jones and Josephine Smith both of Dayton, one brother, Donald Burwick of OH.
Funeral services for Reba will be held Thursday at 11am in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Kenneth Bolton officiating. Burial will be in Rhea Memory Gardens followed by a white dove release.
The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Wednesday after 2pm.
