Raymond Schuldt

Raymond Martin Schuldt, age 88 of Dayton, TN and formerly of McComb, MS died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. Raymond was born on September 2, 1926 in Buckley, IL to the late Carl Schuldt and Minnie (Salmon) Schuldt. He was a resident of McComb, MS for over fifty years.
Raymond enlisted in the Navy after high school graduation and served until the end of World War II. He later attended and graduated from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN. He went on to become the Vice-President at American Box Company in Fernwood, MS for forty years.
Raymond loved to read and play golf. He played baseball in high school and lettered in baseball at Wabash College. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and served as president during his senior year of college. He also enjoyed fishing and playing bridge.
He was a member of Fernwood Country Club and the American Legion. He and his wife were long time members of the Supper Club in McComb,MS. Raymond was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in McComb, MS for fifty years and a current member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Evensville, TN.
Raymond is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Mary Karl Schuldt, his son Ronald (Sally) Schuldt of Plano, TX, daughter Marcia (Dr. Alan) Crews of Dayton,TN, five grandchildren; Katherine (James) Crews Pitman of Nashville,TN Judith Crews of Charlotte, NC, Daniel, Renee and Raymond Schuldt of Plano ,TX, and one great- granddaughter, Lauren Pitman of Nashville.
Funeral services for Raymond will be held Saturday, February 7th at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Mr. Charles Beam officiating. He will be laid to rest with military honors in Rhea Memory Gardens in Dayton, TN.
