Phyllis Ann Hulgan age 82 of Graysville passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Sale Creek. She was born in Rhea County on October 28, 1937 to the late Albert and Zella (Mathis) Coppinger. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert “Gene” Hulgan and her brother Gene Coppinger.
Phyllis was a graduate of Rhea Central High School Class of 1955. She enjoyed gardening, camping and canning and was a member of the Graysville First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jan (Mike) Howard of Sale Creek and Lynn (Doug) Burgess of Dayton, her son, Bob (Teresa) Hulgan of Dayton, her special daughter Wendy (Jeremy) Rogers of Dayton, two sisters, Carol Sue Rogers of Hixson and Willadean Wilkey of Chattanooga, two brothers, Kenny (Barbara) Coppinger of Dayton and Jeff (Lois) Coppinger of Graysville, 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Phyllis will be held Monday evening, August 31, 2020 at 7:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mike Breeden and Rev. Larry Eastman officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Rhea Memory Gardens Tuesday morning at 11:00am.
