Funeral services for Pete will be held Sunday afternoon at 4:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Milton Knox officiating. He will be laid to rest in Buttram Cemetery followed by a white dove release.
Floyd “Pete” Housley age 57 of Dayton was born in Dayton on July 6, 1957 and died Friday evening, January 2, 2015 in Chattanooga. He was a graduate of Rhea County High School and had been employed for many years as a boilermaker with IB & M. He was a member of Local 454 Boilermakers and attended First Baptist Church in Dayton.
Pete is survived by his wife, Gwyn (Guinn) Housley, his dad and mom, Broyles and Ella Mae (Lipford) Housley, son, Kyle Housley all of Dayton, son, Anthony Housley of Chattanooga, two step-daughters, Jackie Jacobsen (Dallas) Hutto and Whitney Jacobsen both of Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Jo Housley.
