Paralee Sue “Mott” McDonald, age 95 of Dayton, passed away early Friday morning, May 15, 2020 at Life Care Center of Rhea Co. Mott was born on July 30, 1924 in Rhea Co., the daughter of the late Boss and Elizabeth (Caraway) Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cedrick McDonald; brother, Albert Mitchell; and sisters, Bessie Mitchell and Virginia Suttles.

Mott lived in Rhea Co. all of her life. She worked at the Old Dayton Hosiery Mill and delivered Chattanooga newspapers for many years. Mott enjoyed gospel music and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

She is survived by her brother, Charlie (Jan) Mitchell of Graysville, TN, and lots of nieces and nephews.

A family graveside service for Mott will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Buttram Cemetery in Dayton with Rev. Steve James and Rev. Luther Hollingsworth officiating. She will be laid to rest next to husband Cedrick.
