Ola Faye Bean, age 82, of Dayton, formerly of Grandview, died Sunday evening at Life Care of Rhea County. She was born in Rockwood on October 2, 1934 to the late Claude and Margaret (Schilling) Simpson. She is also preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Alton Bean.

Faye grew up in Grandview, moved to Altanta, Ga when she married her husband in 1957, and later returned to Grandview in 1993. She was a member of Christian Fellowship in Grandview, TN and charter member of Faith Baptist Church in Ellenwood, Ga. She retired from working as a Food Service Manager at Dekalb County Schools and was a member of the Spring City Senior Lighthouse Center.

Faye is survived by her sons Daniel (Sandi) Bean of Bottineau, ND, Randall (Norma) Bean of McCaysville, Ga, daughter, Margaret (Gary) Dupree of Dayton, brother Donald (Leila) Simpson of Grandview, and sister, Carolyn Phelps of Snellville, Ga. She is also survived by her seven grandsons, one step-granddaughter, and five great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Faye will be held Tuesday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Zimmerman officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, Ga.
