Nora Montgomery

Nora Mae Montgomery age 95 of Dayton died May 31, 2006 in Rhea County Nursing Home. She was born in LaFollette, TN. March 23, 1911 the daughter of the late James and Almeda (Collins) Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband W. B. Montgomery, five sons, Murl, Peck, John, Ross and Billy Montgomery, daughter, Mattie Montgomery, six grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters.

Nora lived in Dayton most of her life where she was a homemaker. She was a member of Cranmore Cove Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two sons, James (Diane) Montgomery of Spring City and Jerry (Alberta) Montgomery of Dayton, four daughters, Helen (Billy) Hicks of Birchwood, Mickey (James) Davis of Dayton, Minnie (Larry) Hill of Trinity, NC and Charlene (Michael) Calhoun of High Point, NC., thirty seven grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren and the wonderful staff at Rhea County Nursing Home, three
daughter-in-laws, Emma Lee, Helen and Willie Mae Montgomery all of Dayton.

Funeral services for Nora will be held Saturday at 11am in the funeral home chapel. with Rev. Al Levengood and Rev. David Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Cranmore Cove Cemetery.

The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Friday 11am-9pm.
