Morris Ray Chadwick age 81 of Dayton, TN passed away Friday, September 18, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. He was born in Dayton on April 28, 1939 the son of the late Carl Ray Chadwick and Goldie Jane (Brady) Chadwick. Morris was raised in Dayton and then moved to Battle Creek, MI where he lived and worked for the Heffly Plumbing Company. In 1978 he returned to Dayton where he was employed with Tencate and retired in 2007. As a young man Morris served his country with the US Army and loved to work with his hands, especially on motorcycles and cars.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jackie (Wood) Chadwick of Dayton, his six Children, Tim (Cyndie) Mikolajczyk of Battle Creek, MI, Cindy Harvey of Battle Creek, MI, Richard Jones of Dayton, TN, Lori (Brian) Wilson of Battle Creek, MI, Scott (Debora) Jones of Sales Creek, TN and John (Kristen) Jones of Dayton, TN. He is also survived by his brother Gene (Clara) Chadwick of Dayton, TN, 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren along with numerous nephews and nieces.
Graveside funeral services with military honors conducted by the US Army for Morris will be held Thursday afternoon, September 24, 2020 at 1:30pm at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Ken Pierce officiating.

The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
