Minnie Marie Thurman, age 86 of Graysville passed away Friday, August 14, 2009.
She, her beloved sister, Beatrice Pierce and beloved nephew Marvin Pierce operated Pierce’s Restaurant and Catering for many years.
She was recently preceded in death by her daughter, Willadean Beene.
Minnie is survived by her daughter, Kay Thurman; her grandchildren, Terri Jordan, David Ivey, Kristie Steel and Mark Ivey; great-grandchildren, Craig Keel, Casey Jordan, Whitney Jordan, Maria Everett, Amanda Ivey, Shaun Ivey, Jonathan Ivey, Garrett Ivey and Weston Ivey; great-great-grandchildren, Keeli Keel, Morgan Keel, Zoie Keel, Kendall Mow and Nickie Ivey.
Funeral services for Minnie will be held Monday evening at 6:00pm with Rev. Jimmie Talley officiating and the Coulter Family Singers providing the music. She will be laid to rest next to her daughter in Rhea Memory Gardens.
The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:00pm until 5:00pm.
