Mildred June “Mibb” Cochran, age 69, of Evensville died Thursday July 30, 2009 at Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga. A lifelong resident of Rhea County, she was born in Evensville on December 16, 1939, the daughter of the late Ab and Caroline Pelfrey and raised in love by the late Lee and Ruby Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her husband William Cochran and infant son Warren Tyler.
Mildred is survived by her son Darren (Amy) Cochran of Nashville, TN, her daughter Caroline (Dave ) Powers of Evensville, TN her brothers Jerry (Dottie) Roberts and Michael (Lorrie) Roberts of Dayton, and Clyde (Dana) Roberts of Chattanooga, sisters Carrie Lee Maddux, Mable (Glen) Varner, Ruth (Russell) Goins and Rita (Scott) Hayman all of Evensville, Brenda (Alvin) Lewis of Dayton, Edna (Kenneth) Stephens of Lenoir City and Margaret (Mike) Nacci of Hollywood, FL, brother Robert (Cazilie) Pelfrey of Dayton, TN, Harley (Glenda) Pelfrey of Evensville, TN and Tex (Loretta) Pelfrey of Nashville, MI, five grandchildren, Alex, Leah, Tori and Erin Powers of Evensville and Grace Cochran of Nashville, TN.
Mildred was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Church in Dayton. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxilliary.
Funeral services for Mildred will be held Sunday at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Milton Knox officiating Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery followed by a white dove release.
