Mildred Jean Maddox

Mildred Jean Maddox age 68 of Dayton Mountain, died Monday, December 8, 2014 in Dayton. She was born on October 27, 1946 in Dayton to Ola Cecil Harris and the late Sallie Pauline (Henderson) Harris. She was also preceded in death by her brother Jerry Cecil Harris.
Mildred was a resident of Rhea County most her life where she was a graduate of Rhea Central High School, class of 1964. Mildred attended Community Free Will Baptist Church and retired as manager at Goody’s.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her daughter Tracy Diona Hamrick, her grandson Blake (Jacqueline) Hamrick and great-grandson Javen Blake Hamrick, all of Dayton, four sisters Charlotte (Mac) Layne, Cindy (Don) Yawn, Diane (Rev. Eddie) Suttles, Donna (Ronnie) Suttles, all of Dayton, two brothers, Charles Ray Harris and Michael Guy (Beverly) Cunningham both of Evensville.
Funeral services for Mildred will be held Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with her pastor, Rev. Jimmy Jewel officiating. She will be laid to rest at 12:00 noon on Thursday at Summer City Cemetery followed by a white dove release.
