Mildred Pearl Happ, age 100, of Dayton passed away January 7, 2018 at EPHS Bledsoe Hospital in Pikeville. She was born May 20, 1917 in Rochester, New York, the daughter of the late Edward and Minnie (Piate) Rigby. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Howard Happ.
Mildred lived in New York prior to moving to Dayton in 2001. She retired from Eastman Kodak after 32 years of service as a manager in the developing department. Her hobbies were gardening, reading and playing pool. She was of the Presbyterian faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Diana Howell of Dayton; granddaughter Kimberley (Tony) Moore of Dayton; 5 great-grandchildren: Molly (fiancée Caelan Heard) Crawford and Matthew (Amanda) Crawford both of Dayton, Makayla (fiancée Jesse Jennings) Moore of Spring City, Christina (fiancée James Hall) Shadron of Fort Oglethorpe, GA and Jack Crawford of Chattanooga; 5 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
