Michael Arnold Daniels, age 57, of Dayton, died Monday, September 10, 2012 in Chattanooga. He was born March 29, 1955 in Rockwood to the late Loy “Buddy” Daniels and Maxine (Houston) Daniels. He was also preceded in death by his niece Aimie Leigh King.
A resident of Dayton Mountain all his life, he was a graduate of Rhea Central High School and was a member of the North Dayton Church of God. He was a carpenter, an accomplished drummer and artist. He loved nature and hiking and had great knowledge of the history of the Cherokee Nation.
He is survived by his mother, Maxine Daniels of Dayton Mountain, daughters Cassie (Carl) Brown of Oak Ridge, Cala (Ben) LeFever of Harriman and Dianna (Brian) Massengill of Adairsville, Georgia, brothers, Marc (Joy) Daniels of Sweetwater and David (Connie) Daniels of Dayton, Debra King, beloved sister and friend of Evensville, three grandchildren Corben LeFever, Mason Brown and Brianna Massengill, nephews Ben, Drew, Hunter and Matthew, nieces Mandy, Isabella and Jillian, great nephews, B. J., Tyler, Brayden and Alex, great nieces, Paige, Caitlyn and Madelyn, great-great niece Violet, lifetime friend Jim Potter and cousins Alan and Jerry.
Funeral services for Michael will be held Thursday at 7:00 p m in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Donnie Cox officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Kiuka – Rogers Cemetery Friday at 11:00 a.m.

The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Thursday after 2:00 pm.
