Melvin Roger Lloyd, age 74 of Graysville, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 29, 2022. He was born in Battle Creek, MI, on October 6, 1947, the son of the late Walter James Lloyd and Grethel May (Williams) Lloyd.
Melvin was employed as a manufacturing machinist and served his country in the US Army in Vietnam and Germany. He enjoyed metal detecting, traveling, watching WWE, and gambling in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his son, Mike (Cassie) Lloyd of Dayton; his granddaughter, Avian Lloyd of Dayton, his sister, Mildred Stinnett of Dayton; his two brothers, Don Lloyd of Indiana and David Lloyd of Michigan; his two sisters-in-law, Jean Lloyd and Margie Lloyd, both of Dayton; his former wife, Victoria Lloyd of Albuquerque, NM; and his stepson, Steven Bratzel of Georgia.
Funeral services with military honors for Melvin will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Woychuk officiating. He will be laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 10:30 a.m.
