Mavis Clydella Salmon, age 89 of Sale Creek, died Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Consulate Health Care Center of Chattanooga. A lifelong resident of Sale Creek, she was born May 14, 1920 to the late Andrew and Minnie (Jordan) Aslinger. She was also preceded in death by her husband Albert F. Salmon.
Mavis was a graduate of Sale Creek High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Sale Creek First Baptist Church. She is survived by her son Billy Allen Salmon of Sale Creek, sisters Vivian Haynes and Violet Carpenter, both of Chattanooga and brothers Leland Aslinger of Soddy and J.C. Aslinger of Sale Creek.
Funeral services for Mavis will be held Thursday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Terry Bolton officiating. Graveside services and burial will be Friday at 11:00 am in Rhea Memory Gardens with Bishop Kenneth Bolton officiating.
