Maudie Gay True age 91 of Evensville died Tuesday April 4, 2006 in Spring City Health Care Center. She was born September 21, 1914 in Rhea County the daughter of the late
John and Martha (Turner) Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband George Ed True, son, Johnny Gollaher.
Maudie lived in Rhea County all her life where she was a homemaker. She loved making quilts and attended Hill Top Baptist Church.
She is survived by one sister, Thelma Smith of Evensville, grandchildren, James Gollaher, Patty Hale, Karen Flynn and Juanita Gollaher all of Rhea County, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, one stepdaughter, Mary K. Lockhart of GA.
Funeral services for Maudie will be held Thursday at 1pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bob Bogue and Rev. Rick Kirkland officiating. Burial will be in Ad Smith Cemetery.
The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Wednesday 5-9pm.
